Message from the Board

A New Board a New Year

Congratulations to new Board of Directors.  Officer installation took place Tuesday, June 28, 2011 at the Annual Chapter Business Meeting lead by the APICS Pacific Western District Manager, John Newlyn.

President's Message

It has been quite an amazing year for the APICS Gold Rush Chapter.  Many thanks to the 2010-2011 Board of Directors. It was a truly a team effort that contributed to the chapter's growth and increased educational program and professional development offerings.

I want to personally thank our volunteer board members for their dedication and service.  As Gary Waters and Mark Galvan for their outstanding contributions to the team in the last year.  As they move on from their roles on the board I wish them the best in all that they do.

The new board of directors has a couple new members and existing members shifting roles.  I would like to introduce our new Board of Directors:

  • JoAnn Corle has moved from her role as the Executive Vice President to the Chapter President
  • Celeste Ayers has moved from her role as the VP of Education to the Chapter's Executive Vice President
  • Logan Rice is a new member of the board taking on the VP of Education role
  • Amanda VanZwaluwenburg is a returning board member taking on the role of VP of Publicity

As the President of the Chapter for the last 6 years.  It has been a fantastic wide ride and I thank the members of this chapter for your support and electing me into my position each year.  As I move onto the Past President role on the Board of Directors I am excited to support the team in anyway I can.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Marc Schmitt, APICS Chapter President
