President's Message

January 2010

 

It is hard to believe another year has passed, but here we are at the beginning of 2010!  A lot has happened in the Gold Rush Chapter these last twelve months and I just want to take a few minutes to share what we have accomplished:

  • We are selected as "Chapter of the Quarter" for the 3rd Quarter of 2009.
  • We have offered all classes in the CPIM curriculum.
  • We have re-established our Professional Development Meetings with great turnout.
  • We have set our new chapter instructor to APICS' Train the Trainer and Learning Dynamics for Instructors, ensuring Gold Rush has the highest qualified instructors to teach APICS classes.
  • We have recognized Delicato Family Vineyards as our "Company of the Year."
  • We have recognized John Newlyn as our "Instructor of the Year."
  • We have begun the use of Facebook and Linkedin to gain greater chapter exposure.

Pressing on forward into 2010, we will start the year off with a plant tour of Fastenal's Modesto Distribution Center. This informative and interesting review of their operation will be free to all Gold Rush members.
